The Dubai Fountain will be closed for five months for major improvements, including better choreography and enhanced lighting and sound systems, according to Emaar Properties on Wednesday.
Located in Downtown Dubai near Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Fountain is a popular tourist spot in the UAE. Millions of residents and visitors from around the world watch the fountain each year, enjoying its synchronized water, music, and light performances.
Emaar, the UAE’s largest property developer, said the upgrades will start in May.
Emaar promised that the fountain will be “even more spectacular” when it reopens, with a “more immersive show”.
“Dubai Fountain is more than just a show — it represents Dubai’s spirit, combining art, innovation, and emotion in perfect harmony. As we enhance this iconic landmark, we continue to create experiences that connect people, inspire wonder, and last over time,” said Mohamed Alabbar, Founder of Emaar
