The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security is encouraging UAE citizens and residents to take advantage of the Friend or Relative Visa service, which is accessible via their website and mobile app. This visa offers options for both single and multiple trips, with stay durations ranging from 30 to 90 days. It is valid for entry for up to 60 days, and extensions can be applied for during the stay.
To use the service, applicants can log in with their digital identity, choose the visa type and duration, and submit their application after verifying their details.
Eligibility criteria include having a valid passport for more than six months, a travel ticket, valid health insurance, and being a friend or relative of a UAE citizen or a first or second-degree foreign resident. The foreign resident must also hold a first or second-level job as classified by the authority.
Maj-Gen Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, director-general of the authority, emphasized that the visa service aims to reunite families and friends, thereby improving the quality of life in the community.
This initiative allows friends and relatives to visit the UAE, enjoy the benefits of living and investing in the country, and highlights the UAE’s commitment to family reunification and enhancing visitor experiences.
